Sunlight and seasons

Lithuania can be proud of its seasonality. Each season is felt, seen and heard differently. The cool season – winter – begins in December. Which brings coolness and snow. Although winters are not very cold, occasional visits arctic weather – the temperature drops to -20°C. The coldest month in Vilnius is January (average temperature -3°C). In the spring, the weather warms up, nature begins to turn green and birds return. Summer begins in June. The average temperature is 17 °C, but during the day it often rises above 25 °C, sometimes above 30 °C. Although summer is the warmest time of the year, it is also the season with the most rainfall. In autumn, the air temperature gradually drops, the leaves turn yellow and start to fall. In September, the daytime temperature still reaches 20 °C. And in November, rain is often replaced by drizzle and snow. All seasons are very beautiful, unique and each period creates a special mood.
