This time, we’re focusing on Forum Cinemas “Vingis”, home to the city’s largest theater.
Forum Cinemas “Vingis” is the largest cinema center in Lithuania, having opened its doors to the public in January 2003. Today, it boasts 9 screens, accommodating up to 1,700 viewers, and features the largest cinema screen in the country. Every resident of Vilnius knows this cinema.
“The uniqueness of ‘Vingis’ lies in the fact that it’s the only cinema in Vilnius that hasn’t changed its purpose since the mid-20th century. Instead, it has expanded, grown, and continues to show films. Moreover, it offers the largest selection of films, ranging from artistic works to global blockbuster hits. It’s at Vingis Cinema where festival openings, Lithuanian film premieres, and meetings with creative teams, actors, and directors take place. Typically, these events are held in the 1st hall, which seats nearly 600 people. Incidentally, during international film premieres in Lithuania, you can also see viewers dressed as their favorite characters filling the halls.
